When I launched Amazilia-London, I wanted to ensure that the business identity was interesting, meaningful and said something about me. Amazilia is a species of hummingbird. I have long been fascinated by their beauty and amazed by their abilities which appear to be beyond their tiny frame – they really do punch above their weight.

The hummingbird symbolizes joy, playfulness and adaptability and, in some cultures, they are seen as bringers of love, joy and good luck – a beautiful basis for a new business taking flight.

These birds adapt to their environment, living happily in cities or forests. They show precision and agility in flight.

They have great listening skills and can hear better than humans and are incredibly intelligent, with the largest brains of any wild birds.

These amazing skills, behaviours and traits are the inspiration behind the brand, but more importantly, are the spirit and motivation for Amazilia-London.
